Your Guide to the 2023 GMC Terrain

Ready to tackle both off-road trails and city streets with the same fun-filled zest, the 2023 GMC Terrain is not your ordinary SUV. This edition offers a unique combination of excellent fuel efficiency and peppy performance, as well as sophisticated tech and comfort features throughout its plush cabin.

Performance and Versatility

The 175-horsepower engine found under the hood of this edition pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission and delivers up to 29 mpg of fuel economy on highways. All of this takes long-distance road trips and drives around town to the next level with smooth shifting and responsive engine performance, while the available all-wheel-drive (AWD) system does the same for off-road adventures.

Although the AWD system takes all the guesswork out of off-roading by automatically optimizing traction as needed, you can take more control over the vehicle’s versatility with the Traction Select System. This feature includes various driving mode options that quickly adjust the vehicle to dirt, sand, snow, ice, and other tough terrains.

Comfort and Convenience

A wide array of luxury comforts is also offered with this edition, including leather-trimmed seats with unique French stitching, both heating and cooling settings for the front-row seats, and an expansive SkyScape sunroof that lets everyone enjoy nice breezes when fully open on sunny days. If you have cargo, you can easily bring it along on all your journeys with both the 60/40 split-folding seat and the fold-flat front-passenger seat.

Outside the Terrain, the power liftgate in the back lets you program how far it should raise when using either your hands or your key fob to open it. The exterior is built tough with plenty of off-roading features available, from the sport terrain tires that come exclusively with the AT4 trim to the front skid plates that offer added protection for getting over rocky terrains.

Entertainment and Safety

Both the entertainment and safety-monitoring features offered with the 2023 Terrain are impressive. A premium 7-speaker Bose audio system connects seamlessly to the vehicle’s GMC Infotainment System. With the latter system, you can scroll through music selections, open and control apps, make calls, and ask for instructions to destinations using either voice commands or a full-color touchscreen. For wide-spanning views around the vehicle, you’ll also love the multi-camera High Definition Surround Vision system.

Keeping you safe when making lane changes, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert can notify you if there are other vehicles on either side of yours when crossing over lane markers, and to light up the night, there’s the IntelliBeam Auto High Beams.
