Engine and Transmission

There are three different engine options for the Chevrolet Suburban. The standard engine is a 5.3L V8 engine that creates 355 HP at 5600 rpm and 383 lb.-ft. of torque while the available 6.2L V8 engine yields 420 HP at 5600 rpm and 460 lb.-ft. of torque at 4100 rpm. The strongest engine option for the Suburban is a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel that supplies 277 HP at 3750 rpm and 460 lb.-ft. of torque at 1500 rpm.

All the engine options for the Chevy Silverado are paired with an electronically controlled 10-speed automatic transmission that includes Traction Select System and Tow/Haul mode.

Entertainment and Connectivity

Inside the 2024 Suburban, there’s an 8-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system that includes AM/FM radio and SiriusXM satellite radio compatibility. Purchasing a new Suburban comes with a free three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM! The Chevrolet Infotainment system also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration.

You have even more entertainment options with Wi-Fi hotspot capability, which you can use within fifty feet of the Suburban. This hotspot provides a strong internet connection on up to ten different devices.

Seating and Comfort

Eight people can sit inside the Chevy Suburban, with two front bucket seats and two 60/40 split rear benches. The driver’s seat has 10-way power controls, including Forward/Back and Up/Down settings for optimal comfort. All standard seating in the 2024 Suburban is made with cloth seat trim.

Tri-zone automatic climate control keeps everyone inside your Suburban comfortable by maintaining the desired temperature in each of its three climate regions. Other notable interior features include power windows, overhead assist handles, USB charging ports, and the Chevy Cargo Management System.

Safety and Assistive Driving

The Suburban features advanced safety functions like Rear Seat Reminder and Hill Start Assist to keep your entire family safer. Rear Seat Reminder prevents children and pets from accidentally being left behind by issuing an audio and visual alert before the driver leaves the vehicle. Hill Start Assist engages the brakes for a split second when you transition from the brake pedal to the gas pedal on an incline, preventing your vehicle from rolling.

Like many other new Chevrolet models, the Suburban comes with the Chevy Safety Assist package. This assistive driving package includes functions like Following Distance Indicator, which measures the time in seconds between your Suburban and the vehicle in front of you.
