There's an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 engine that provides 470 horsepower and 975 lb.-ft. of torque. With this engine, your truck has a maximum towing capacity of up to 36,000 pounds!

Capabilities

The new Silverado 3500 comes with a complete trailering package to streamline the towing process. This package includes a trailer hitch, trailering hitch platform, 7-wire electrical harness, and 7-pin sealed connector for attaching the trailer's lights and brakes to your truck. The Hitch Guidance feature also makes towing easier by using a rearview camera to give you a precise guideline for lining your hitch up to your trailer perfectly.

Exterior

The Silverado 3500 has a dominating presence due to its large size and sturdy build. Notable exterior features include the roll-formed high-strength steel Durabed, CornerStep rear bumper, and 18-inch all-terrain blackwall tires with steel-painted silver wheels.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 is available in several different colors, including Summit White, Red Hot, Black, Slate Gray Metallic, and Lakeshore Blue Metallic. The WT base trim comes with black bumpers and ​beltline moldings, adding to its bold appearance.

Technology

You'll have access ​to all of your contacts and some of your favorite smartphone ​apps with the Chevy Silverado's connectivity options. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for pairing a compatible smartphone. You can also use Bluetooth audio streaming to make hands-free phone calls while driving.

Safety

Safety is a top priority in the 2024 Silverado 3500 HD, with a number of ​different assistive driving functions acting as another set of eyes on the road. Front Pedestrian Braking ​scans your surroundings for pedestrians crossing into your intended path. The base model includes the standard turbo max gas engine, but you can also upgrade to the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine for more power and faster acceleration. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission for quicker shifting. Size If you want the most truck for your money, the Silverado 2500 HD is the larger of the two. It has more ground clearance for getting over all kinds of debris, a longer wheelbase for distributing the weight, and more storage space. Of course, you can also extend your Silverado 1500 truck bed if you need space but don't want to upgrade models. Safety Both trucks come with a slew of reliable safety features, including an HD backup camera, hitch guidance, forward collision alerts, following distance indicators, and front pedestrian breaking.
