This truck is available in nine trims. The base WT has black front bumpers and 17-inch steel wheels. The Custom offers body-color bumpers and 20-inch Bright Silver-painted aluminum wheels. The LT comes with chrome front and rear bumpers, 17-inch Bright Silver-painted aluminum wheels, and LED signature lighting. The RST features body-color bumpers and 18-inch Bright Silver-painted aluminum wheels with a black bowtie emblem. The Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss incorporate the Z71 suspension package with a 2-inch factory lift. The Custom Trail Boss has 18-inch High Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheels, and the LT Trail Boss includes 20-inch Black aluminum wheels. The LTZ elevates the exterior with 20-inch Sterling Silver wheels and chrome trim throughout. The High Country features 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with Charcoal pockets and bronze accents. The ZR2 stands out with 18-inch wheels and 33-inch off-road tires, a specialized front bumper with a skid plate, and enhanced LED headlights.

The Silverado 1500 offers four engine choices. The 2.7-liter TurboMax engine delivers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The 5.3-liter V-8 produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The 6.2-liter V-8 generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo Diesel provides 305 horsepower and a class-leading 495 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel-drive models pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while four-wheel-drive versions utilize a 10-speed automatic transmission.

When equipped with the 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo Diesel engine, the Silverado 1500 achieves a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds. The 2.7-liter Turbo supports a maximum payload of 2,260 pounds. Models equipped with the 6.2-liter V-8 deliver acceleration from 0-to-60 mph in 5.4 seconds. The Trail Boss models feature a 2-inch factory lift and Rancho shocks, while the ZR2 provides 11.2 inches of ground clearance. The ZR2 enhances off-road performance with Multimatic DSSV dampers and front and rear electronic locking differentials. Trail Boss trims also include an off-road suspension package for optimal handling in all types of conditions.

From the LT trim upward, the Silverado features a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Higher trims also have a 40/20/40-split bench front seat with under-seat storage and rubberized vinyl floor covering. Other premium features include dual-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power driver seats, leather-appointed seating, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and front bucket seats. Also available are a premium Bose audio system, wireless charging, and Google Built-in compatibility.

Every Silverado 1500 comes equipped with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and lane-keep assist with lane departure warning. The LT and higher trims offer adaptive cruise control. The LTZ and High Country both feature a 360-degree camera system and rear cross-traffic braking, and High Country models add trailer side blind zone alert for enhanced towing safety.
