The 2023 Terrain lineup consists of four trim levels, starting with the SLE, which combines elegant lines with muscular sculpting to create a bold yet graceful silhouette. This exquisite design is accentuated by C-shaped LED headlamps, deep-tinted rear glass, and 17-inch wheels featuring a dazzling silver finish. The SLT sits atop 18-inch silver wheels and adds a hands-free programmable liftgate featuring an LED logo projection.

Engine (Power)
No matter what Terrain model you choose, you'll enjoy a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of producing 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. With that much power, you can use your Terrain to tow up to 1,500 pounds. GMC's fuel-saving technology, such as direct injection and variable valve timing, make the robust engine incredibly efficient, helping the Terrain get up to 29 mpg on the highway.
Performance
A nine-speed automatic transmission optimizes engine output and efficiency while ensuring you enjoy smooth acceleration and straightforward handling each time you slide behind the Terrain's wheel. The SLE and SLT feature an agile front-wheel-drive system that makes it easy to maneuver through traffic, take tight turns, and merge onto busy highways. Equipping these models with the all-wheel-drive system, which comes standard in the AT4 and Denali, enables continuous road monitoring and precise torque distribution across all four wheels. With the AT4, you can also take advantage of a traction select system featuring an Off-Road Mode.
Interior
Inside the Terrain, you'll find ample seating for five and a cargo volume measuring 63.3 cubic feet when you fold the rear seats flat. The SLE offers a fold-flat passenger seat for longer items and features elegant aluminum accents. The SLT adds a heated steering wheel, and both trims let you add front seats with heating.
The AT4 has an eight-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar controls, while the Denali enables you to luxuriate in leather upholstery featuring French stitching. You'll also notice burnished aluminum accents and an 8-inch driver information display. All Terrain trims support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, giving you access to your favorite entertainment and navigation apps.
Safety Features
The 2023 GMC Terrain comes equipped with a lane-change alert that notifies you when a vehicle is blocking your path and prevents you from making a safe lane change. When driving in reverse, the rear cross-traffic monitor will warn you of approaching cars and pedestrians. Rear parking sensors make it easy to squeeze in and out of snug parking spots. If your Terrain starts to drift, the lane-keeping system will apply corrective steering.
